Tempcon Express Private Limited is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to strengthen our pharmaceutical and healthcare cold chain logistics business. This role focuses on driving revenue growth, acquiring new clients, and building long-term strategic relationships within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and clinical trial sectors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to expand pharmaceutical cold chain logistics business
- Identify, prospect, and onboard new pharmaceutical, healthcare, and clinical trial clients
- Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and key stakeholders
- Understand client requirements and propose customized cold chain logistics solutions
- Prepare and present business proposals, presentations, and commercial offers
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms to ensure profitable agreements
- Conduct market research to track industry trends and competitive landscape
- Collaborate with operations, customer service, and finance teams for seamless execution
This position is offered on local terms and conditions.
The role is based in Ahmedabad and is a full-time position.
Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- 4–10 years of experience in business development or sales within pharmaceutical cold chain logistics
- Proven experience in acquiring and managing pharmaceutical or healthcare clients
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulations, quality standards, and cold chain best practices
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and relationship management abilities
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry engagements

Key Responsibilities:
1. Quotation and Pricing Management
o Develop and process customer quotation requests for domestic and international shipments, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
o Collaborate with Business Development Managers, Branch Managers, and other stakeholders to process customer RFQs in the ERP system (TEMPEX).
o Monitor and adjust Salesforce opportunities and progress stages in alignment with sales procedures.
2. Cost Optimization and Vendor Coordination
o Coordinate with IATA agents and other partners to secure optimal air freight and transportation charges.
o Engage with international vendors to gather complete transportation and service costs, ensuring accuracy in all quotations.
3. Billing and Profitability Control
o Support accurate client billing based on agreed pricing structures and monitor profit margins to ensure business viability.
o Collaborate with Branch Managers to oversee client billing, ensuring accurate cost tracking and profitability maintenance.
4. Customer-Specific Solutions
o Evaluate and provide tailored solutions for customer packaging, lane requirements, logger placements, and overall operational flow.
o Determine appropriate packaging and logistics solutions based on product specifications, including decisions on dry ice replenishment, logger placement, and shipping terms (e.g., Door-to-Door, DDP).
5. Process Improvement and SOP Compliance
o Support RFQ operations by refining operational systems and procedures to align with organizational objectives.
o Participate in the development and standardization of processes, KPIs, and compliance requirements across client accounts.
General Responsibilities:
1.Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to ensure team adherence to pricing and customer service standards.
2. Client and Vendor Relations: Serve as a primary contact for customer service issues, implementing process improvements to enhance service delivery.
3. Operational Support: Assist with branch operations management and other administrative tasks as required.
4. Policy and Compliance: Ensure adherence to all company policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, or related field.
• Previous experience in pricing roles preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
